Filipinos. Eating like a boss.
I love Korean food and I love Italian food. Chinese cuisine is comfort food and so is American food.
But Filipino food.
It is a no holds barred plunge into an amalgamation of meat-carnage-seafood-carnival-vegetable-gathering often resulting in an opulent melange of taste that is altogether sweet and spicy and always salty. Filipino food is unapologetic with its cholesterol content, uncompromising with its ingredients and always, always served with a smile and a story. Recipes are passed on from generation to generation. It ties families and binds all Filipinos of all social class and of varied provincial origin.
Nothing satiates me like Filipino food.
